Started with a love of bikes
Greenline Cycles began in 1992, founded by Dacques “Dax” Downey. What started in Oroville grew through word of mouth: good service, a welcoming shop, and a team that actually cares about how your bike feels on the road or trail.
In 2012, Greenline expanded to downtown Chico. Today we’re at 515 Main Street, set up to make service and rentals simple, whether you’re a daily commuter, a weekend trail rider, or you’re visiting and just want a good bike for the day.
A home base in the middle of town
In 2025, Campus Bicycles merged with Greenline Cycles. The goal was straightforward: keep the legacy and the familiar faces, bring everything under one roof, and make it easier to get great service, rentals, and support in one place.

Most people don’t want a lecture about parts. They want their bike to feel right: smooth shifting, strong braking, quiet miles, and a setup they can trust. That’s what we do all day.

What you can expect here

We’ll tell you what needs doing, what can wait, and what isn’t worth your money. If something changes after we start, we’ll check in before we add work.

Commuter, road, gravel, trail, e-bike. The “right” service depends on how you use the bike, not just what’s on a checklist.

Online booking makes it easy to get on the schedule. If you’re in a rush, say so in the notes and we’ll be honest about timing.

GLC 2GO! is for busy weeks, non-rideable bikes, and visitors without easy transport. We pick up, service in-shop, and deliver back ready to ride.

New rider or long-time enthusiast, you’ll get straight answers without the attitude.

GLC 2GO picks up your bike, services it in-shop, and delivers it back ready to ride. Pick-up and drop-off are free for services $85+.
